Human Design seems to be a buzzword right now (which I love!). But have you heard about how to apply Human Design to your parenting journey?
Here I share 5 ways that I’m applying Human Design to my motherhood journey (and helping others do the same)…
1. Better understanding
It’s giving me ways to better understand my little humans’ complete uniqueness, little traits and quirks (I mean they’re wonderful anyway but I am learning about their energetic design that makes this happen – SO cool!)
2. Honouring them
I am developing new ways each day to honour their differences. Different to us as their parents (we are two generators parenting a projector and a reflector), but also different to each other as siblings.
3. Energy levels
This was a big one – understanding their energy levels. They are currently 3 and 5 years old so pretty energetic of course, but in totally different ways sometimes (different to each other as well as my expectations of them!)
4. Process emotions
Helping them process their emotions. This was a big deal for me when I discovered Human Design because it finally gave a framework and a pathway to put in place what I had been following from day 1 through a gentle parenting approach.
5. Judgement free support
Supporting them without judgement. Not many of us would openly say we judge our children, but this can come about in so many subtle ways, because of our own conditioning. So I am learning and refining how to not pass on my judgement and let them be who they came here to be – uniquely their own people!
I would love to know from any other parents or Human Design fans how has it helped you in your parenting journey, or life in general?
If you’ve explored your chart and your kids, what has Human Design uncovered for you? I’d love to know, share below or email me. (claire@clairekidd.com)..

How to get started with Human Design parenting:
Step 1
You can look up your own chart and your child’s chart for free from a variety of online applications. It only takes a moment to do it once you have the correct birth data (mybodygraph.com or geneticmatrix.com offer this service for free).
Step 2
Once you have you chart you might be left wondering what you are actually looking at! The numbers, lines and colours can be overwhelming! This is when you would benefit from having a trained Human Design reader go through your chart(s) and point out specific things that can help you as a parent as well as give some insights for your child.
If you’re not sure how it could help you and your child, read my other posts where I talk about how we parent our reflector and projector daughters.
I’d be honoured to read your child’s chart alongside yours and I offer a range of options for you that best suit your family. I offer recorded readings, or live sessions, or a mixture of both.
